One of the greatest fascinations of our species is Extra Territorials or ET. We spend a lot of time thinking of them and we spend Billions looking for them. It makes you question if they doing the same thing. It also makes you question if there is anything we are leaving for ET to find when ET looks our way. Is it this chaotic and hostile world that we made for ourselves? What comes up first our good nature or our hostility? Would they find something worthy enough to tell our stories long after we are gone?

Lucky for us, some can look past our self-destructive nature, to put together something that may speak in our stead. In 1977 two space probes Voyager One and Voyager Two were launched to study our solar system and interstellar space with something in them. These two probes are the first artifacts any ET civilization will find, the first physical evidence of our existence to other intelligent beings. I suppose Fear and excitement are present in the previous statement, and when we look closer we find that we have left them clues to help explain ourselves, what we look like, what we sound like, which solar system we come from, and more. We have given them something to study, our form of cave drawings, an artifact we call The Golden Record.

We know the story up to here. But, what is in the Golden Record? Here's where most of us draw a blank. Shouldn’t we know what is inside our Artifact? ET is going to take a look, why not us? Of course, we will be long gone when and if any form of non-human civilization finds the Golden Record. The human race might be extinct by then, and the earth might not even be here anymore. Why should that matter? This record will always be moving, waiting to be discovered. It will one day be the only evidence left of our existence in the universe and because of it, some natural sounds, greetings in 55 languages, some sounds of the earth, 90 minutes of music, and 115 images will survive. Moving across empty space. Its time to have a look.
